Solid plans for liquid
The DMK government in Tamilnadu has kickstarted various water projects in the State. Desalination plants in Chennai, Hogenakkal Drinking Water Project and combined drinking water projects for northern districts are to name a few.
An idea can change life
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, while speaking at the inaugural of Minjur desalination plant, said, ‘Tamilnadu does not have adequate water resources. We have to depend on neighbouring States for water.
If it does not rain in neighbouring States even they will not be able to provide us water and that is what led to the idea of desalination plants.’
